Dr. Anne Snowdon is Chair of the Odette World Health Innovation Network (WIN), Odette School of Business at the University of Windsor. WIN will be the first Canadian health innovation centre with formal ties to the U.S., building collaborative partnerships between the two countries to advance health system innovation that will provide innovators and entrepreneurs access to the complete North American health market.
Dr. Snowdon has dedicated much of her career to producing research and advancing innovation that will improve the health and well-being of Canadians. She was a professor at the Ivey Business School and Western University’s Faculty of Health Sciences, and was cross-appointed to the Faculty of Engineering.
As Academic Chair of the International Centre for Health Innovation, Dr. Snowdon led the Centre’s work to drive health system sustainability and productivity. Through her research on road safety and child occupant death and injury rates, Dr. Snowdon has become one of world’s leading authorities on child automotive safety.
Dr. Snowdon has published more than 70 research articles, and received over $7 million in research grants. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Western Ontario, a Master of Science from McGill University and a PhD in Nursing from the University of Michigan. She is a Fulbright Scholar and was awarded the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Doctoral Fellowship for her doctoral research. She also sits on the Ontario Health Innovation Council.
