Jan Hux is the Chief Science Officer at the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA). She is a clinician-scientist, trained as a general internist and health services researcher. She holds an MD from University of Toronto and a Masters in Epidemiology from Harvard. For 20 years, she held a variety of research and executive roles at the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES) in Ontario, where she was responsible for developing and leading the diabetes health services research portfolio. She has over 100 peer-reviewed publications.
In her role at CDA, she facilitates strategic collaboration in research funding as well as actively supporting knowledge translation to the board range of diabetes audiences.
