A future for the planet: technology and science at the service of nature

By Dr. Kyle Muller

On June 10 in Milan, Step Futuraability explores how drones and IA revolutionize environmental conservation: science and technology to save the planet.

Imagine a world where the most advanced technology joins the protection of nature. A world in which algorithms monitor rain forests, the drones detect rare species and the geneticists archive the DNA of extinction plants. It is not science fiction: it is the present that is quickly evolving towards new professional frontiers.

The appointment at Step Futurability District

On June 10, the meeting “Pov: save the planet” – Organized in Milan at Step Futurability District – it will lead us to discover this universe of possibilities. Giacomo Moro Mauretto, biologist, scientific popularizer and creator of the popular YouTube channel guides us “Entropy for life”known for its ability to make complex themes related to biology and conservation accessible.

According to one WWF study (Source: WWF Living Planet 2024 report)the use of drones and artificial intelligence for environmental monitoring can increase the efficiency of the conservation of species up to 70%. In fact, this technological approach allows you to reach remote areas with greater ease and precision, significantly improving environmental protection actions.

During the meeting we will explore how new technologies are transforming traditional professions and creating unpublished opportunities, where scientific skills intertwine with technology, design and social sciences.

What is Step?

The meeting is held at Step Futuraability Districtan immersive and technological space designed to explore the digital future. In an interactive path of about an hour, visitors can better understand the impact of digital transformation on daily life.
