By Dr. Kyle Muller

Veracruz of Ignacio de la Llave, simply known as Veracruz, is a Mexican state that is located south-east of the country. Although it is not one of the most extensive states in Mexico, its surface is enough to understand a large number of reliefs: plains, lomerios, valleys, sedimentary mountains and mountains. As for the Veracruz climate, it is very varied and goes from humid tropical to the semi -dry and semi -final climate in some areas. The great diversity of reliefs and climates presented by the State, result in the 7 natural regions of Veracruz, all with different hydrological, climatic, geographical and flora and fauna characteristics. These regions are: to the north the regions of Huasteca Veracruzana and Sierra de Huayacocotla; In the center of the State the regions of Totonacapan, plains of Sotavento and large mountains and to the south the regions of tuxtlas and isthmus of Tehuantepec. Now that you have read this brief introduction to this Mexican State, from Ecology Verde we will emphasize the natural resources from Veracruz.

Floor

These areas aim to preserve and conserve the great biodiversity of flora and fauna, soils, water bodies and more elements, which after all are the natural resources of the State. In this way, if the resources are over, the protected areas could be used to meet the needs of the next generations. However, we must not reach that instance and, therefore, we have the obligation to make a Rational use of natural resources.

Some of the most extensive Veracruz protected areas are: Archipelago of forests and jungles of the capital region of the state of Veracruz, archipelago of interdunary lagoons of the conurbation area of โ€‹โ€‹the municipalities of Veracruz and La Antigua, Ciรฉnagas, Dunas of San Isidro and Arroyo Moreno.
