Bullying and cyberbullying: a rampant phenomenon that persecutes teenagers, but of which there is never enough talking. On the occasion of the National Bullying and Cyberbullying Day of 7 February, Webbboh Lab (The first digital observatory dedicated to Gen Z), made an investigation into bullying to which, in 48 hours, over 9,000 young people between 13 and 20 years of age responded. According to 60% of teenagers, bullying concerns male and females in equal measure, and for 68% it is a phenomenon that can affect victims of all ages.
Bulls and bully. 70% of the boys said they felt bullied and that school is the place where the deeds of abuse and abuse are consumed more. To direct question if they have ever been bullies, 66% of them replied negatively. The admission, on the other hand, has been made by one boy out of three: this expresses a possible overlap between those who are bully and who, by bully, is in turn bully.
4 bully profiles. Four psychological and behavioral profiles of “bully” emerged from the research. The most common is the so -called shadow (50.2%) who, guided by personal insecurities and family problems, seeks the acceptance of others through prevaricating behavior. It has been (or is) also a victim of bullying, and has serious difficulties in managing his inner conflict. A second profile is that of heartless tyrant (20.9%) which acts with deliberate evil, is not motivated by insecurities, but by a desire for domination. The third is the furious (15.4%), whose aggression is direct expression of anger and frustration caused above all by family economic difficulties. Finally, the fake fragile (13.5%): In the absence of family support, the bully acts to compensate for its vulnerability, often without intention to hurt.
